They do not look like they belonged.
Or, rather, she does not look like she belonged, with her platform shoes and tomatoe-red afghan around her shoulders and hair curling slightly from the rain, shaking out her umbrella with the seashell tassles in a cacophony of jingles. No, not here, in this world of pearl necklaces and heavy, pressed suits and colors that actually match.
She garners stares as she crosses over to the admissions booth, and he fancies their eyes widen when he catches up to her and deliberately slides his arm through hers.
"Two tickets for the Bible exhibit, please."
