Moony has the whole dining room set up for research. There are books laid out everywhere, and parchments and quills. He's throwing himself into this project
(because Adrian asked me to)because he wants to distract himself. Down the hall, there's a room that was never there before. It's cloaked, of course, and can't be seen or felt by anyone ( Read more... )

After a restless night filled with visions Adrian can't quite remember, he wants to see what progress Remus has made. He woke up hours ago, and paced endlessly, assuming he would have been notified if there was any news. Finally he gives up and heads over, knocking on the door.

"Moony? It's Adrian."

Moony flicks the door open with his wand, not bothering to get up; he's got three books open on his lap, and he's reading another on the table ( ... )

Adrian peers in when the door opens, smiling when he sees that Remus is so engrossed in his research.

"Thank you, Moony. I'll remember that." He heads over and picks up the books, and glances around. He heads over to set them down somewhere, although he feels compelled to find them a proper place on a bookshelf. Standing still for a moment, he grits his teeth and just sets them on the floor, then returns to the chair and sits down. He plays with the edge of his cloak as he listens. "Painful, not good, bad enough he's trapped. I'm not entirely sure Dracula did it. I wouldn't mind killing him for the hell of it, to see if that breaks it, but that might mean we'd never find out who cast it. Destroying the crystal, that sounds workable if we can find it. I hate it when books are so vague, especially if it's because the author assumes you know what the hell they are talking about. I'm glad you've been able to find out this much though."

"Please do remember, you're always welcome here." Remus watches him struggle with what to do with the books, shrugging calmly when Adrian sets them on the floor. He notices how tense Adrian is (Moony notices more about Adrian than is probably normal; when it comes to Adrian, Moony watches like a hawk) and considers surreptitiously hitting him with a relaxation spell, partly because his tension is contagious, and partially because Remus is just curious if it would work on a dhampyre. "No, I think Dracula needs killing just for the hell of it, as well. However, we might want to take care of this Jimmy business first. If Dracula gets killed and we can't find the crystal, we might be out of luck. There are locater spells that might help, but I'm sure Dracula would have considered that. Just remember, so much of this is up in the air right now, so try to keep calm. Unfortunately, a lot of books about magic are very vague. It's too keep the information from getting into ignorant hands. But I've only just started researching today ( ... )
