11. (or should that be 0.? Do we burrow into below-zero after this?) No darkfic. Plenty of bleak situations, yes, even tragic ones, but one of three things happens: a) The heroes don't gives in to despair and there's always hope, b) it happens to a minor character no one can care much about, or c) the situation is so sudden and out of nowhere it is in fact darkly humorous. This is in fact psychologically significant, but don't tell Loopy. It's not pretty when a centipede loses itself in self-examination and gets tangled up in its legs. You don't want the lower creatures to come to harm, do you? DO YOU?
