Day 24 - Something That Makes You Cry
Onions.
More seriously, though, I get teary at a lot of things. Much in the same way that I get irritable at a lot of things but don't let it show unless under duress, I also actually get pretty emotional, but I try not to let anything other than happiness or humor show.
I actually can't remember the last time I had a good cry, though. I remember tearing up at the end of Into the Wild, when the main character imagines returning home and everything he's missed.
I also remember the last time I was extremely depressed, and I did everything I could in my power short of firing up Grave of the Fireflies (which I have yet to watch, but Jamie had the DVD and by nature of being anime it ended up with me) to try and cry, because Lord knows I wanted to.
But break-down-sobbing, strangled-cat-noises, snot-running-everywhere, ugly, convulsive crying? Either it's been years, or years since I remembered.
Hopefully I'll find something that'll make me cry like that soon. Because not being able to is a kind of emotional blue-balling.
