Keep in mind that math is a language. Perhaps you are accustomed to seeing this aptitude surface in other areas of your life, whether it be music, the ability to learn foreign languages, etc.
Mathematically proving there is no god? ;) (I had a friend in Cheney, a math/education major, who, when properly exposed to mind altering substances, could do some sort of calculations (dividing by ZED or something) wherein she determined she was proving the existance of God. Maybe that's why I never got Math!)
How does one, who is not leaving the military, hook up with some of those programs like the one offered to transition happily?
