comforting thoughts

I'm finding that having read and watched TV shows recently about the current theories of space and time have given me a strange kind of comfort on top of this kind you describe.

Basically, what it boils down to is that we currently exist in a state where certain people are no longer alive. But they still live, just further back in the time line, before these things happened. Also, there is a likelihood that there are quantum states of the universe in which they are also still alive. It's sort of an atheist form of afterlife. Yeah, I can relate to this a lot. There are things I miss about religion but I just can't force myself to believe. I think I might try to make some sort of journey into spirituality without faith. I think I might start with this book.
