Any chance of making an ally of this bloke? I mean, the last honest man in the Ministry must be really starting to feel the pinch by now...
There are still quite a lot of St Mungo's patients at Thorne. I've been playing tiddlywinks with several of the smaller ones. We probably ought to be working on establishing allegiances with as many of our adult 'guests' as possible - Merlin knows what skills are distributed amongst them, likewise the captives from the train.
I'm going to try and get back into my flat in London - I had a bit of Floo powder there, not a huge stash but a decent sackful and it seems silly to leave it there if some thieving bugger hasn't had it already.
I'm not sure I'm the best placed person to make that kind of approach. For some reason, he appears to distrust me and my 'poncy stuck up ways' even when I have the necessary forms signed in triplicate by me, the Minister.

Officially, they are listed as missing. I think many people are holding on to the thought that may be alive, have been nit on the head and lost their memory, or even taken prisoner... People still hope, unless they are presented with physical evidence of death. Even then, they hope there has been a mistake of some sort.

It's a powerful thing, hope. How can I make use of this? Perhaps some sort of vigil or memorial ceremony should be held, now that the initial shock has died down. A fitting and sensitive tribute to the victims of a senseless tragedy, as proposed by a compassionate Minister who is truly in touch with the people? Couldn't do your popularity any harm...

Thank you, Mr Malfoy, for making the enquiry anyway.

I shall make further enquiries about the raw ingredients, but there seems to be a shortage of that too.

Perhaps Mr Visconti and Miss Archer will have better success abroad. I do hope so.
