In the 94/95 school year, one of the professors in our department hosted Ken Kesey coming to give a talk. Some of my fellow graduate assistants told me that this professor came back from Kesey's hotel room just acting totally stoned out of his mind. Apparently they doing some other Sixties-related activities. :-)

Yeah, I'd much rather look at some trashy porn than read The Hobbit, haha. But I'm sure I'll get around to re-reading it eventually.

mna, i feel like such a nerd, ive read quite a few of those books - i should finish DEMONS AND ANGELS, i liked it when i was reading it, but im really bad about reading multiple things at once and then dropping one for another - do you have a fav?

My favourites outta the entire list would either be Angela's Ashes or Slaughterhouse-Five. Man, when Kurt Vonnegut died... I shed a few tears, I'll tell you that much. But Frank McCourt is also brilliant, so at least we still got a few good ones left in the game.
