It was a country bread from a very good Greek cookbook called "The Olive and the Caper". The bread turned out okay, but it was overdone on the bottom because the bottom burner in my oven is too hot. Also, I think it was too flat. It was really fun to make, though. When the dough is sitting in a bowl and rising it makes squeaky noises!
I recommend the cookbook, I think you would like it.
Also, spaghetti pie? I think I remember you made this before and enjoyed it. Is it a casserole?
I recall the cookbook! When you first got it or thereabouts you shewed it to me. I liked what I saw. My brother doesn't like it? but he likes cookbooks to have NO FRIVOLOUS NONSENSE.
I could have phrased that better.
Squeaky noises?! That is seriously cool.
Yes, it is. From Joy of Cooking. He liked it. He brought for himself a tiny little bottle of wine, and for us several kinds of orange juice in quart jars!
I also realize that the link I sent you a few weeks ago probably didn't link you to anything, because it was dead a couple of hours after I sent it... which SUCKS, because it was hilarious, and involved the Lucky Charms leprechaun.
Must needs try this "olive and caper" bread. I haven't made bread in a while, though I did make a pizza (featuring some pretty decent dough) for self, and boyfriend, and his friend Chris, and Chris' girlfriend Jess! They were super impressed! I was proud, for a rare instant!
We went to see Slayer on Feb. 7... it was actually really amazing and I'm kind of scared that I enjoyed it so much

What did you put on the bread?
