lol. you are so right. the oldest gets shafted. and the youngest gets what was shafted off of the oldest.
and yes, youngest gets picked on at first, but once the others leave the house.
i was in a family of three, me being the youngest. i have a way bigger allowance than my older sister did when she was my age. i also have a cell phone, and a car. and my own computer, and i get nice clothes.
a good portion of the reason is because nowadays, its a lot more common for kids to get cell phones, computers, and cars and at a younger age.
and the other portion is cuz my mom has more money for two reasons-two siblings that are not financially dependent on her anymore, so its just me-which is 1/3 of the reason. the other 2/3 is cuz my mom is out of school and has a good job, and she was in school when my sisters were growing up. and now she is married again, so there are two good incomes coming in.
so in short, what u said makes total sense. and your family isnt the only one like that.
