Loraine's eyes flickered open. A soft groan left her lips but the realization of where she was, what had happened didn't sink in ( Read more... )

People bumped into her as she staggered through the crowd, tired and uncoordinated. A few poeple would stare and ask 'are you alright', but Loraine couldn't stop for them.

If she did she'd pass out.

But Loraine was nearly knocked off her feet by a teenager running past, her face contorting as she slammed into the wall, clutching her side. Panicing she closed her eyes and tried to think, Magnus's voice sweetly calling in her ears.

"...Magnus... I'm soo sorry...." Taking in deep breaths Loraine had to get off the sidewalk, she couldn't stand all the people staring at her, seeing her weak.

It ddoesn't feel right...

Loraine pushed off the wall, her arms pulling her short black jacket around her body hiding the bandages as she staggered into the street.

"Love?!

Standing straight and turning around She couldn't have sworn it was Magus's voice. But was she loosing it? Her vision was blotchy, her hearing muffled, she could have been halucinating it all.
But Loraine could almost... feel him ( ... )

Sensitive hearing came in handy, especially when one was listening for any trace of a certian tone, a certian ring in the air.

His eyes searched frantically through the crowd as he approached it, but somehow they took one short lingering look into the street when a horn honked and very angry words were shouted out a window.

Was that Loraine? She looked so...worn, so tired, so...dead ( ... )

Loraine's face seemed to weigh with worry until Magnus came into view, it all slipping away.

He's here... He's... actually here...
Smiling she went to walk forward but the sounds of sirens echoed in the approaching distant.
From the hospital.

Pulling her jacket closer, to hide the wounds she staggered back to the sidewalk, away from magnus. Her dark hair fell forward covering the cut on her head, but Loraine coudln't hide the pale skin and tired, if not dead expression on her face.

"Magnus... we..." She glanced to the right and began to walk away.

Follow me. She thought strongly, desperately hoping her could hear her.

"What the fuck is going on..." he sighed with frustration. Sirens?...Why the hell where there sirens? Who the hell was after her?

The thought broke apart in his mind, but there was an alert that she had said something to him.

But even without that, as soon as she started walking away, the rope that seemed to tie them together made his feet move toward her.

Even though his anger was flared rather quickly at this already complicated situation, he was sure when she had enough energy she would explain it to him. Or he would ask her until she did.

He walked quickly to catch up to her, keeping his thoughts shut tight until they were safe- because something told him they weren't.

"Nice to see you too."

There wasn't enough strength in her to explain and pretend everything was alright, and Loraine knew Magnus would her rather explain then have some stupid act that kept them safe a little longer.

A police cruiser came down the street and Loraine bolted into the alley right next to it. Hiding from view she leaned back against the wall her face contorted in pain.

"I...I'm sorry..." she whispered to Magnus. It only took a minute before she could feel her side spasm in pain and Loraine doubled over coughing up a bit of blood.

Dammit... shouldn't have left the hospital...

"...Magnus... I was stupid... really stupid..."

Loraine's eyes relfected that pleading fear fright and horror like a mirror. But she knew she looked the part and Loraine didn't care. She had everyright to be scrared.

Don't I?

"I can't." That statement took all the firm action and confidence she had within her, to refuse what Magnus so desperately wanted. Her side ached, burned as though the wounds were still new. She'd been injured before, shot before even-but this was different.

"...I left Magnus.. I left when I wasn't supposed to. I go back now... They'll ask me questions I can't answer without..." She winced, her eyes closing, Loraine leaning against Magnus or she'd fall to the ground.

"...a Lycan... found me..." The whisper was so soft but sounded loud, echoing and booming in her ears.
