Just heard that JJ got a job as exec producer/writer for Heroes.
This distresses me greatly.

JJ is a she, btw, and I completely agree. I can't imagine the damage that could be done. Hopefully, she'll concentrate on the production end and stay away from the writing one.

Does that mean Daddy, Josh, McG or one of her husband's friends hates that show, or have they found a position for which she is qualified, like maybe feeding the pets everyone brings to work?

I really hate to see the ones who weren't invested in "The O.C." and didn't value their jobs, co-workers, take responsibility seriously- or simply were incompetent as well as careless and unfocused, rewarded with more opportunites and in more secure positions (Yeah, I'm looking at you, J, JJ and McG, etc.), while the cast and crew who went above and beyond are scrambling for another foothold as they unjustly pay for the mistakes of TPTB. Very disappointing and disillusioning...

Have I mentioned that I'm glad I don't watch "Heroes?" So, it has what then, maybe a season left? Truncated?

As you say, distressing pretty much sums it up. I'm all about the generous 'tude today, huh? Everyone gets to do a little volcanic venting occasionally- maybe?

I wonder how she got the job.....family connections, no doubt. Regis was quite proud this morning when one of the guests was a Heroes actor......

Probably best that you don't watch it. It's awesome, but probably short lived by virtue of its subject matter. I can see them running short on storylines - mostly since this season was chock full of stuff, and there are only so many "superpowers" that can be bestowed.

I still say we could do much better. They should hire us.

So I guess Regis is still alive...

Nepotism is the way of the world. Hopefully, it will get Ben some wonderful opportunities starting, say, now.

You know I've never seen the show, so here's the perfect reason to never start.

TPTB had tremendous flist talent to enlist. They apparently stole instead when it suited them and then paid far inferior people to not do the actual job. Then again, consider who the top PTB were/are...

I'm one of those big fans of Heroes.....nothing close to the OC, but then, nothing will ever touch that, I think.
I just hope she produces more than she writes.

Heee. I guess we know how long Heroes going to last: 3 seasons and 16 episodes.

I do watch Heroes, though i don't think about it for a minute before the episode or after, but it's pretty good. Some of the stories (The Japanese, The cheerleader, The cop, The woman from Vegas) are pretty smart. I have no idea how JJ could write for something so complicated. At least Josh could write decent fluff, she couldn't even do that, the stupid S/S lover.

I enjoy Heroes. I look forward to it every week......
I don't think she can do those storylines justice either.

You crack up my sh*t! I sort of like the show, but I guess I can kiss it goodbye right now. Maybe they'll schedule it opposite Josh's new baby next season----wouldn't that be poetic justice?
