Hoarding

Have you seen that show about hoarders?  Me neither.  It always looks a little terrifying, and I refuse to watch it because I fear that I will recognize myself too much in it.  See, I'm a sentimental person, and I keep things as trinkets and memories, even ridiculous things that probably are actually meaningless.  Nothing highlights this fact about ( Read more... )

I am married to a hoarder. Okay, probably nothing like those people on television (I've never seen the shows either). But I think what you did was fabulous. If only my husband could learn such amazing tricks :) Good for you. Truly keep that which is important to you - scan the rest. Keep a digital copy of the memories that matter. Or put them in a binder in a small and compact setting ... then its a memory book. I think you can have both worlds. I am a super minimalist these days and that probably isn't right either. So a middle ground seems good.
