I guess I just see it differently. The term "marriage" should not be defined legally because it isn't just a legal institution; it's a religious one. I believe that if a church is willing to marry two people of the same sex, the government should not have a right to annul that marriage. The US Government should not be able to decide who can or cannot be married based on religious reasons, Christian or otherwise

Don't worry, I respect you too, and your opinions! :o)
I think its a great sign of maturity and friendship when people of differing opinions can agree to disagree. And actually I agree with you on a couple of points.. just not in whole.
I agree that tolerance should be taught.. I just don't think that lesson should include graphic sexual imagry. (and I've seen some of the literature.. and the gay pride parades I've seen clips of are also what I would call beyond suggestive, in fact I would say they were pornographic in the extreme)
And I agree that no-fault divorces have certain advantages.. but I also think they have caused people to be more reckless in their choice of spouses thinking there's an easy out if it doesn't work.. and I think that more couples who could make things work tend to opt for divorce rather than putting the effort of working on themselves and the relationship into a sinking ship.
But, I think I agree with you more than I disagree. :o)
