Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I love it. I love all of it. Thank you for these!
Poor baby Nero made me cry, I just want him to get A HUG and Emory is Too Good for us.
Joseph and Adora made me laugh soooo hard. Seeing Joseph Seward being Big Stupid over his wife is hilarious, as is Adora being Violently allergic to feelings. I never imagined him dropping his books all over but wow, it is glorious. At the same time, I like that we can see the trauma from his past showing up here, too. I think this is the first Adora POV I've read and you get to see so much more of The Parents' characters. IDK if I'm just looking too far into it but I love that you included Jospeh's neck and ears flushing dark when he's embarrassed because that's exactly what Creed and Alec do, too. "An overinflated ego to go with that jawline" LMAO. I could pull a million more quotes but this comment would be two pages long. I love it so much

I love how you make concepts I wouldn't have put much thought into so compelling and rich. In a horrifying dystopia, Joseph and Adora's courtship is weirdly cute?? Got the flustered meet-cute paper drop moment, got the unrequited love, got the sacrificial gesture NOT to win the girl but INSTEAD to boost her as his partner and I totally see how Adora fell in love with him, and I also see how they became the parents they did to Alec and Creed.
And I love all the Callista we got in this one and how she's able to encourage this side of Misha that wants to be good and put thought into something, only instead of with swords she does it with needles.
The Joseph/Adora courtship was the runaway surprise for me, though I knew a little about it already (I knew how Joseph tells the story to the boys is very much the same as how he tells it to the Valents, and when Alec mentions that to Julia she tells him to ask his mother). Writing it from Adora's point of view was at once very gratifying but also ... illuminating? In that, yeah, we do see how the two of them become who they do.
Callista and Misha are SO FUN TOGETHER and you're right, I think Calli sees a lot of herself in bb Misha and is able to handle her quite well.

Ditto. I really did not expect to like that, because I've only seen Joseph the parent. The meet-cute, the genuineness, the incident with the runaways; it made me both like him more and understand him better. Really enjoyed it!
You can only carry what’s yours to carry, Nero told her once. No one can hold everything. She didn’t ask him how that works for him, obviously speaking from experience. A few years ago she might have. Maturity, or something, though in the right light it looks an awful lot like exhaustion.
The Victors & Alima's baby fic is just too sweet~! I can perfectly picture Brutus holding tiny Ana <3
And the Panem Rocketry fic was fun as well! When Eibhlin says: “Recreational. Pyrotechnics. As a family bonding activity! [...]" I was just about ready to laugh out loud. Eibhlin and Claudius make a really great pair. I see them sort of like this:
