These are all brilliant! It was so interesting to see how Callista and Dexter met. And Misha talking about fire logistics was perfect! I loved Devon in the centre too, his interaction with Gareth seemed a precursor almost, since I believe Gareth is one of the boys who makes it to the end of the centre?

Yeah Gareth is the one who's at the end and is real big mad that Devon makes volunteer. lol. Lifelong rivalry that one!

I love this, especially Emory thinking about knowledge never given, a kindness that doesn't excuse the capitol and its privileges but makes space for those who grew up there to be uninformed but able to learn. Also Dexter and Callista, and Nero and Callista, giving a sense of all three. Loved this as all your work

I feel like Emory's parents were definitely the "they don't have the opportunities you do" type, even though she grew up without a lot of material wealth (local PK on her second twenty in a small town the quarries doesn't make that much, compared to say Joseph in Eagle Pass). For them that also included being raised by parents who love you and treat you right and teach you the correct values, so, hysterically, she sort of slots people in the Capitol into the "less fortunate" box. Clearly their parents never taught them how to behave.
