You've made me realize that i'm the same way. About self-sacrifice. Its such an intrinsic part of my values that it really gets under my skin when someone isn't the same way; if they put themselves before those they care about, i have less respect for them.

so if we sacrifice ourselves for the sake of it being the best thing you can do for yourself- isn't a little contradictory? but i totally agree, just self- sacrifice for a reason other than yourself.

Nono, i meant don't let yourself be the one to stop you from sacrificing yourself because it is the best thing for you. Not that you should sacrifice yourself just because of yourself, that doesn't work.
