The Henderson police called last night and said they'd found my car in Harrisburg, Illinois. Actually, the officer asked, "Did you report your car stolen or whatever?" When I said yes, he asked, "Did you know it was recovered?" So, I've gotten to deal with the same kind of people all the way around. Anyway, They fingerprinted and took photos,

You had to pay to pick up your stolen car? That sounds weird.

It was towed by and housed at a wrecker service in Harrisburg. The cops aren't going to pay for that. I can only hope they magically find the thieves and they have some money or jobs or rich uncles. Otherwise, I'm out quite a bit of money (though I'm not going to worry about the body work).
