So I need to write about 20 some pages of story in the next 3 days so that i can realistically get to my semester page count for my Fiction Writing class. The thing is.... I hate this fucking story im writing. I hate it because, for it to be any good it needs to be about 400 fucking pages, and even then, the character is still just this whiny

If you've already written a fairly large amount, I'd try to stick it out with your current idea. Know what you're going to do with him, and get to it. Try putting the other idea on the shelf until after you get finished this one, because you don't want to get into the habit of writing 50% of your stuff and moving on.

Even if you're not satisfied with your first book, it is just your first, which is more than a lot of others have written.
