That's one of the reasons why, even though we're stuck in a third world country, I don't want to leave this place. I'm a decently high-class citizen here, why migrate and go through that? But at the same time, geeze. I'm glad we're not going anywhere near these whiners.
Perhaps they think that if they whine more, they'll get better benefits. Dream on.
Aww, you can't call your country third world. You've got democracy, internet connection, good universities, clean running water and sufficient law and order

Actually, yeah. o.o Our country's still called a third world country. I think it's because 75% of the population's below the poverty line, or something. And don't get me started on all the other things you mentioned. >_>;;
If I made it from poverty-stricken and violence-afflicted middle east to Australia, and I had a shitty job as a taxi driver, despite my law qualifications, but all of the above benefits, I would be FAR from bitter and resentful.
True, but people don't really need excuses to be bitter and resentful and violent and general leechers, do they?
Ah...yes, Aroryo (sp?) is being impeached by some ex-generals again in further allegations of corruption. Honestly, democracy isn't going to solve every country's goddamn problems, and just because people can suddenly vote isn't going to pull them up above the poverty line and put food on the table either.
On the other hand, I get the impression that with people like you, lynlyn and Reis, there must be a significant number of intelligent young women in your country who have access to decent higher education.
You know, there are a LOT of Fillipino ladies in Hong Kong working as maids. On their days off (usually a Sunday), they congregate en masse at Victoria Gardens. My uncle said that place on Sundays is unoffically the 'new Manilla', which I think is cute.
>> True, but people don't really need excuses to be bitter and resentful and violent and general leechers, do they? True, especially if the politicians are bogged down by political correctness and fuzzy 'multiculturalism'. I used to believe in multiculturalism, but after seeing
