An Interesting Anecdote

I sat on a park bench today, at the opposite end of an elderly couple. As I did so, the couples' edge of the bench jutted upward ever-so-slightly, though the man acted with a churlishly exaggerated expression as though I had shot him several feet upward. Note that most humans are very bad chess-players. The reason for this is a general lack of ability (through no training) at parsing multiple chains of causal events of the "A implies B implies C" variety. Thus blame for events is usually associated with the immediate causal agent, Politicians, stock analysts, and advertising firms capitalize on this phenomenon to great advantage.
