Well, I bet this has nothing to do with the solution, but if you add a straight line going across the top connecting the two top vertices, and then a straight line across the bottom connecting the enpoints of those vertical lines, you have what looks exactly like an envelope, which holds letters. (?) I have a couple of other ideas but they're probably not right either.
I can't say for sure because he doesn't give the result til later in the week but that's exactly what I was thinking, hence the bit about reading the question aloud again. As soon as I read it aloud and said the word "letter" I immediately got it. His puzzles are usually about "thinking outside the box". Most of the posts that I put under the tag "quirkology" are from the same guy (the guy in the personality test video) and it would definitely fit his line of thinking. So if I'm correct then you got it.
I got it in about 10 seconds, surprisingly, maybe because I'm one of the rare breed who still writes letters with some regularity. My initial thought was to make to A's with two lines though. Haha.
Yesterday I saw a store from "Australia's finest makeup artist," Napoleon Perdis, and thought of you. The males employed there had makeup on though and looked rather female.
