For Wayne's pre-birthday celebration, he and I and two of his friends decided to get together and play videogames. Sounds slightly lame, I know, but multiplayer GC games are not something to be missed, if you enjoy that sort of thing.
Basic run-down: Wayne and Shane vie for supremacy in Mario Kart: Double Dash. I manage to sneak away with one win.
I mostly own in Street Fighter 3. Wayne beat me a few times, but I believe I still walked away with the majority of the victories.
Shane and I do battle for the ultimate Soul Caliber 2 championship... and end up with a tie, two for two. I really couldn't tell who won more overall, since there were quite a few matches and much indiscriminate smack being laid down, as the term goes.
Wayne, Shane, and I all did pretty well in Time Splitters 2, with most of the matches being either close or absolute thrashings one way or the other. (Sums up most of them, I know, but still...) However, I should mention that playing as a Zombie is a bad idea, because it inflates the Head Shot scores to an unnaturally high number. Still, it was quite fun, and I think I snuck away with the overall victory.
However, I should also mention that Shane and I did the Metroid Fusion swapping for Metroid Prime... and I got to play the original Metroid. Good gosh, that was a bad experience. I know, the game's probably older than I am, but still... Bad memories for me, and I certainly wouldn't want to play it again. *shudders slightly*
I think that's most of what I've been doing today: Wayne's still working on his experiment for d20 Modern, which I'm looking forward to seeing. He's mentioned that, if all goes well, then we might start up another session for it. That is, of course, assuming that I don't find any major flaws and/or imbalances in the game system. If there is... then we'll just stick to regular D&D. *nods*
