Survivor XIV
This tourney is now in its second day of operation, with Round 1's voting now closed. Current feelings/character synopsis/etc. will be put in another LiveJournal cut (I'm starting to really like those things...)
My current character is a Predator, from Aliens vs. Predator, the not-so-big Capcom side-scroller. Instead of my usual Sponsor status, however, I decided to be a Sidekick instead. This tournament... I have a bad feeling about it, to be honest. For the round location, we received quite a bit of description about the terrain and the architecture, but not so much on the inhabitants or the security forces (always an important factor, considering how much random destruction is to be had.) I also have a bad feeling about the overstory characters, but that doesn't really matter as much at this point. Carly, the Host, still has time to prove me wrong.
I will, however, say that I had no inspiration whatsoever as to what I should have the Predator do in the first round, and have decided to do nothing until the second. It shows that my choice may have been the best after all: since I'm not sponsoring, I don't have any negative penalties for not doing all that much. The only complaint that I have is that, since I'm only going to vote in-character, I've not gained any experience or suchlike for this round. Ah well, esta la vida.
The other thing that has me worried is that I'm not sure how many duels/suchlike I'd be able to pull off: while the Predator's versatile for a technology-based alien, there's still only so much I can do with it, and with the sheer number of magic-users... We'll see what happens.
