My suggestion would be to start with LOTR. If we do SW first, we will all be too tired to stay awake during those long overland travel scenes in LOTR.

Then again, I always fall asleep in the Pod Race scene, so what do I know?

And what is that date, anyways??

Here was my little idea that I came up with last night:

Eliminate first/last bias by watching them in a staggered format. Star Wars 1&2, then Fellowship; Star Wars 3&4, then Two Towers, and so on. That could make it easier to compare both sets of sappy endings, for example, because they wouldn't be so widely spaced.

broken_spoke isn't wild about that idea, for the record. He says we should figure out what time this is all starting and then analyze our circadian rhythms. Though he also suggested we could *not* decide beforehand, and just do a coin toss at Neil's house. Like a sports thing, which team gets the ball first.

Although pasajera's suggestion is fair, it is also insane. This does not mean that we shouldn't do it, only that madness will surely follow. Which could be fun. You know.

However we do it, I strongly favor viewing SW in fictional chronological order rather than the order in which they were produced.

I'm also open regarding dates, so long as either A.) it isn't the weekend of January 21st/22nd or B.) there is an LA showing, as I'm always down there for my birthday (that weekend).
