Feeding frenzy it's contagious

I was just thinking about the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, how Charlie's family is so poor that the only chocolate he ever gets is one bar each year for his birthday, cuz a nickel or whatever it costs is a fortune to his folks. And Charlie makes it last forever by taking only one microscopic nibble each day, savoring that nibble. Now
