Wow, it's super nice outside, though hot. I need to go back out, and not be inside in front of a screen. Just checking the email, which led to listening to music on myspace. Discover new music is important though

Came across the picture, had to use it. Besides Im a fan of tight pants on dudes.
What do you think about Sartre's idea that the notion of God is absurd, because a being cannot be both complete(knows the future and everything, is a thing) and concsious. This is impossible he says. Religion comes from man's desire to be complete. Of course so does romantic love, he says.
Personally I think the shape the world is in, and even the fundamental plot elements of the bible suggest that God is not perfect, but in fact flawed and not in control of everything.
results and questions of last statement 1. Who is to say we can understand perfection? who is to say that it is merely unrecognizable and perpetually sought by us? out imagination limits us as well as out intellect. 2. If a God was in control, ten we would have no free will, only a constant fooling, mayhaps a God is in control and we are fooled into watching this every move and instant(s), but then we would have to acknowledge this in order for any thoguht to register so we must be somewhat independant or something. 3. I thought of many things while singing with earplugs on the mower at the poop factory this summer, and one had to do with god. The incredible fact of existence (we exist, we continue to exist, why is it held and perpetuated, what perpetuates the holding together of everything to pass from instant to insant). The suggestion was God. but, that is problematic, becuase you take the one unknown of how we are and are held in existence, and repalce it with a second unknown which perpetuates the existence. Occams razor.
I really am ODed so I don't want to get too into it, but I'll just say I agree with everything you said, and Sartre is one of the figures I look up to most. I don't ever want to get married, but if Sartre was alive I'd probably want to marry him.
your icon is fucking amazing. I have been reading/thinking a lot about the greek gods and to compare and contrast them with the modern perception of God is fun.
