Thanksgiving was pretty cool. My aunt and uncle, cousin, a friend of my parents and Romain, the French kid that will be living with us shortly were all there. It's really hit me just recently how fucking bad mp3s sound, after listening to some old mix CDs from mp3.com downloads. Who the hell decided to make the standar 128 kbps? Obviously not anyone with ears! Mp3s encoded at 190 sound much better and the files are not much bigger. I can't even listen to many of the mp3s on my computer because they sound ( Read more... )

In 2003, 754 guitarists played a 10-minute rendition of "Louie Louie" at Tacoma, Washington's Cheney Stadium. The event is thought to be the world's largest jam session in history. I hope they were allplaying through practice amps.

I have little to no repect for political views that are nothing more than a blind appeal to ones religion, especially when it is a blind appeal the overt religious faith of a political leader. I am excited for what comes out of this election. I think Kerry has a good shot. Even if W does win, I don't think it will be by much, and there will be controversy just like last time. If Kerry wins by a narrow margin, at least Democrats have not been suppressing voters to my knowledge, like many Republican organizations are doing. I will be glad ( Read more... )
