Thanks. You know me, I always aim to please :D ;)

This one i'm following more closely than any other for personal reasons. Snyder dare not fuck this up or, as he said himself, he'll be directing rom-com's for the rest of his career!

haha
it seems like it's going pretty well!

you have to take some things into consideration too, like the fact that not everyone is gonna know about the watchmen universe and just wants to see it to be entertained - like what they did with ironman or transformers...both still phenomenal movies but not very close to the original series

Glad to hear it. So far there's been nothing that has really worried me about the adaption. Going to be a long 5 months to the release...

Did you finish reading the GN yet? What did you think?!

Yeah, I finished it about a month ago, I think. Could be longer at this point. I've been reading a lot so I'm having a hard time keeping track!

The ending was really bizarre, but I liked the whole thing, really. The parallel story, "Tales of the Black Freighter," was truly terrifying, but I liked the way it compared to the issues being faced in the main storyline. I found all the characters pretty compelling, but I think I found Ozymandias the most fascinating.

You found the ending bizarre? Brilliant! :D I guess the way Chapter XI ends, with the whiteout, doesn't even preapre you for the carnage in the opening pages of Chapter XII. The build up to page 6, with the reveal of the cause of the destruction is fantastic, all the more so because of the silence in the panels. The realisation that Chapter XII, Page 6 was what the writers and artists on the island had helped create, without them knowing it, and what had driven Blake over the edge (literally) blew me away on first reading.

I can see how Ozymandias would be a fascinating character study. A comparitive and contrasting study with him and Rorschach is very interesting.

When (if) you get time I'd recommend you visit the forums at WatchmenComicMovie.Com. We are forever analysing and debating anything and everything Watchmen related (amongst other things) :)
