Well, Das Vendyhaus was fun. I hadn't intended to go originally, but a friend in Leeds twisted my arm (alright, asked if I was going. I'm easily influenced) so I ended up heading over to Yorkshire

my sister has just gone to huddersfield uni, and she was thinking of going over to leeds and to the wendyhouse....what is your opinion of it? is it generally good or generally bad? good music? nice place?

The music? Generally cheesy, but it has moments of goodness, and it's certainly one of the best goth nights in the north-west (even though it's not strictly a goff night). The cyber room is fantastic, if overcrowded, and the booze isn't flagrantly overpriced.

The spiking is very rare, but I'm not entirely sure it was aimed at me. The people are generally damn friendly, and the venue is good. In other words, it's highly recommended. ;)

I found it rather disconcerting when I was spiked... then I just got angry! You have to wonder what makes them think it's OK to put a mind and body-state altering drug into someone without their knowledge... Hrm. Wankers.

As an aside, I will still send you pancakes if you give me your address :p

Unfortunately, I rather suspect the spiking was targeted at the girl I was talking to, who'd been the to get that drink in.

If that was the case, I'm just glad it ended up being me who took the hit and not her, considering I had friends to look after me.

Aah, I dun entirely remember where I was at the end of the night.

'sides, I was apparently fine until we'd just left Leeds, which is when the projectile vomiting and passing-out started. ;)
