Lots of crazy things happening at work. I found out that working 60 hours a week is only during first quarter. By the end of the year an 80 hour week is going to be short. On that note, I will be in contact with both State Farm and Caterpillar very, very soon. I feel a little bad, but the company lied to me and as any of my closest friends know ( Read more... )

I'd agree. You're making the right choice skipping out on hours like that. You know what's funny? In France and most of mainland Europe, they've got 32-hour work weeks and 6 weeks of mandatory vacation. Seems hard to imagine from across the Atlantic, but despite having less money they're overall much happier - probably from all the free time they get for friends and family, and doubtlessly because these sorts of things make you happier than being able to afford a huge plasma screen TV.

I would just like you to know that you suck... not an extremely large one, but one of an adequate size to require my pointing it out to the Internet. On that note, I really wish I'd pursued a secondary education major like I originally intended. That being said, I'm glad I didn't because it would have been in a subject that would have lead us to cross paths on less friendly terms. And, I ask you, where would I be today without my plumbing/guitar hero partner in crime?
