I mean, come on, what other author has written as much drivel as Jordan did? Three books worth of crap in the middle of a story. And not a very good or original story

It's just that after six books, "The Wheel of Time turns, and ages come and pass. Ages that become legend..." gets a *little* tiring. Jordan uses repetition (excessive repetition) to get you to remember details, instead of writing them well enough in the first place that you remember them all on your own. That, to me, is the mark of a poor writer.

His story had so much potential in the beginning. Then he squandered that potential to turn it into profit, instead of telling a good story. Shame on him.

Everyone should read George R.R. Martin instead. *wink*

Sorry if you feel that way. I don't believe the man deserved all the acclaim that he received. He duped his fans, and milked them for profit, stringing them along with false hopes of an end to the series he wrote. People have been waiting since book 6, almost ten years or so, for an end to his story, and he's been teasing them with crappy work. Past promised deadlines and such, even before he was diagnosed with a terminal disease.

He was an unmitigated asshole. And he will go unmourned, at least from me.

Honestly, I never read anything he wrote. I honestly didn't care one way or the other. But he was a human being who is with us no longer. You didn't just leave him unmourned, you danced on his grave. I've read kinder eulogies for inmates on death row. To have such blatant disregard for someone.. anyone's passing is shocking to me and quite frankly leaves me nauseous.
