A book

The book I am holding in my hands, a copy of Geoffrey of Monmouth's Histories of the Kings of Britain, is over 100 years old. It's in pretty good condition, much better than the other 100 year old book I have out. It's from our school library, and in the back it has stamps back from when they still checked out books manually ( Read more... )

This is why I love you, Adam.

You don't need a stamp to be remembered. You are going to accomplish great things and people will remember you for those, not for a stamp in a book (although, admittedly, I like the stamps too and kind of miss them). More importantly, why do you want to be remembered by people who don't even know you? Isn't it more important that the people in the here and now remember you?

I will never forget you!

Well, you know I do thus as well, but, you could stamp it yourself.

Oh Adam, I don't know what to say...I guess what I'm thinking is that it is probably good to think about one's own mortailty sometimes, though one shouldn't dwell on it too much and forget to live. Also, though I don't believe by any means that you need a silly stamp to remember you by, I think that I would write my name in there anyway, just because it's a neat idea, nothing more :)

Cheer up, ok?! And who knows, maybe that student was you in a past lifetime! (Now that's something interesting to consider! ;) So stop worrying!

Love,
Meridi

just write 'lord apolon was here' inside the front cover. Maybe include a horrendous pun too, for good measure. That should take care of it!
