My mind is in an odd place. It's not good times. It's also hard to explain. It's a combination of frustration, depression, loneliness, and being really freaking cold.
I hate it when I can't control the temperature! Fortunately, since being on my own, I've always lived in single level apartments that I could manipulate by opening the window or turning on the oven.
My dad always kept it way too cold in the house when I was a kid; A/C in the summer and not enough heat in the winter. Of course, he was fine living on the main floor, but it was absolutely icy in the basement!
Would the wiring in that house support an electric space heater?
The wiring in this house is haunted so while theoretically yes it could support a space heater theoretically the heater in his room now is at least twice as powerful as a plug in heater.
Something for the walls, i vote. That room has always felt like an add-on to moi. we could insert insulation in there, on the outer wall. Also, are there any holes in there? like, to allow wiring go in and out from the outside? if so, more insulation.

Also, I have found that I prefer my room in the mid to upper 50's. Sadly, it's very hard to get my heat to comply. It's either unheated, or like 70.
I'm sorry you're feeling neurotic.
