Remind me to never, ever drink any alcohol again. Ever. The day started out fun but I don't want to end a birthday the way I ended that one again. Well, I met her today and it turns out I didn't call her at all. My friends were just taking advantage of my memory loss to play a prank on me. The bastards. :p

We've all done it, LB. :p Ah, for the ability to call those back...

But I fear the alcohol is clouding your judgement. I like Erikson as much as the next man, but as far as my understanding of the term 'storyteller' goes he is not superior to GRRM.

In some aspects he is arguably a better fantasy writer, but not that one. The whole complaint people have about GOTM is that, however good a story, it is pretty badly told, and I'd say the same about Midnight Tides. In places the storytelling is weak, though the ideas are good.

I just really like his style of writing. Sometimes it can be a bit clunky, but when it comes to action scenes, no one does it better. There are scenes in the Bonehunters that just blew me away. And you really get the sense now that everything is drawing towards a conclusion, though what that conclusion is going to be is anyone's guess.

Hahahah, did they give you any clues on what you "said"? Would make the joke even better (and more cruel :p ). So....will she date you now? :p

I love the Bonehunters too! Really doing my best to go slow so as to not rush through it and ruin it for myself. So far I've succeeded. I have to say Bottle is one of my new favourites. Go him!! :)

No, it's all right now. I met her today and it turns out I didn't call her. It was a joke by my other friends. So all sorted. Though I will have my revenge, especially now I have a new samurai sword to play with. :D
