I have been in a training coarse all this week (new program they are installing), and I have noticed something interesting about the bathrooms here in the training building. In the stalls, there are ashtrays. Yes, ashtrays, though I don't know how long it has been since you were able to smoke in the building, more then 7 years at least.

Oh yeah? I had occasion to travel to Cleveland, OH to the federal buidling there last month. This building was something right out of the 50's! The bathroom had ashtrays, and get this - there were those push-button door opens style ashtrays in the halls too! It reminded me of that scene out of terminator 3, where they're in that old bomb shelter - the one with ashtrays on the tables. I still remember my dad throwing a tantrum back in the late 80s when they banned smoking in the courtroom! :) Ah, the good 'ol days...

JW's doing OK - he doesn't smoke anymore, but he used to - smoked for about 50 years, and here he is at 84 and no smoking related problems.. go figure :)
