Coupla pics for Zoe:
A bad picture of my terrarium:
I didn't give as much space the the planting instruction said, but I hope that doesn't prove to be a problem as they approach fruiting maturity.
A different perspective, with other smaller fellows behind:
I suppose you're wondering what veges I've got in there :P
There's a number of capsicums, of red and green variety (The single yellow I've got is planted elsewhere, and doing very poorly, everything in the terrarium is going brilliantly compared to everything else. Curse that evil sand that the garden beds are filled with!), a few heads of lettuce, and a couple of spring onions.
On the ledge they're all capsicums, bar for a lone spring onion. I really want to get a few other veges, maybe some fruit (Watermelon for one), but not until I do something about the sand. Hopefully I might be able to get a few bags of manure soon.
Finally, my shadehouse:
It's not quite how I'd planned on laying it out when the idea first popped into my mind, but it's doing well enough methinks :)
The little hanging basket is a cherry tomato plant BTW. Though I'm disappointed by the tomatoes it's produced, tough skin and a bit on the bitter side. Nothing at all like the cherry tomatos back on the farm, which were growing in sewerage runoff. Those guys thrived :)
Gotta say, I'd love to get my hands on a couple more aquariums.
And it's going to be interesting to get to use the product of my worm farm too, hopefully that's another month or so off.
