I must profess an admiration for Cicero. His Philippics are particular favourites of mine.
The woman you are enamoured with sounds particularly intriguing. Quite unpredictable, but utterly captivating. I've known such women, and you certainly need to tread carefully.
Since you have been decent and answered the questions, it seems only fair that you interview me.
Cicero was ahead of his time, an absolutely brilliant man. I commend your tastes.
Captivating is a marvelous word for her. You are more than welcome to meet her, I think the pair of you would get along.
Very well, Admiral. Enjoy: 1. Port Royal is admittedly lovely (if a bit too warm to my liking), but do you ever miss England? If so, what about it do you miss? If not, why? 2. I’ve seen more than a few men with promising naval careers turn to piracy, yourself included, they go for different reasons - “Freedom”, desperation, some understandable notion of honor, etc. - and they very rarely ever cross back, even if the desire is there. Why did you come back? 3. I must ask: After various encounters with Miss Swann…Mrs. Turner now, I suppose…I have failed to see the appeal in having her at one’s side forever though she’s likely a bloody good roll. What is it about her that would lead you to die for her
( ... )
1. If you had the chance to return to the moment in time that you betrayed me were assigned the cargo whose escape branded you a pirate, would you do anything different? 2. Similarly, do you ever miss your life as a respectable member of society? 3. You're aware the Wench (You're calling her the Pearl now, aren't you?) is still the property of EITC, aren't you? 4. For a man who stabs anyone in the back to save his own hide you certainly seem offended when others return the favor. Why is this? 5. Why did you refuse to transport that cargo anyways?
