Tonight at Millett was the millionaire gala.
Glee Club sang a few songs, got a weak dinner, and in general stood around a bit while mingling and such occurred.
Old people were getting wasted left and right.
Wynona Judd performed too. She made a racist comment. All of us were like "Did she just say that?!"
Awesome.

Rather, she introduced her background singers (both African American) with the line "Love has no color." Now maybe I'm overreacting, but is that implying that she loves them in spite of they're being black?
What's worse is that some drunk lady in the audience started laughing! Wynona was obviously flustered and mumbled something about I think them being part of the family, so the male singer said "Yes, my name is Nairobi Judd and that's my sister Kenya Judd." We thought that was funny and pretty classy.
But then Wynona says "Ah, yes, it's good to laugh at ourselves sometimes." And we're like wait, did she just say he's laughing at himself for being black?! What is going on here???
Craziness.

What exactly is a flapper supposed to do? I mean, I take it spilling wine on someone isn't the idea, but how exactly does one....flap?
