Where/what or on whom do you base your IC Draco while writing? How do you do this? What do you think of? What are your tips, tricks and moves?Hmm, well, that really depends. Hogwarts era fic is going to stick closer to canon!Draco since that's the Draco we know best--a bit of a spoiled prat who still needs to learn a thing or two. If it's Draco who is a father, then I take the Draco we glimpse in the epilogue and imagine the ways he would and wouldn't be like Lucius. Of course, if he's a club owner without kids, he can be a more privileged, sowing his wild oats sort of guy

I was just curious! I know I really try to base my Draco on canon, instead of fanon (which is often easily used because of all the fanfic I read) and after talking about writing Draco and how difficult he can be with lyonessheart I felt like throwing the question in here. :)
I think you have a very good point with what you do while writing, and that different pairings bring a different person. Which is logical, because you grow differently when your'e with a different person.
Re-reading HP is always so great. I am making the slowest progress ever, since I started my re-reading adventure last year. I am only on the beginning of book five, and haven't posted all my GOF notes yet.
I started those notes, never finished them. I couldn't cope with having to stop reading to actually write down the note! So I have notes up to the first half of PS, and then I stopped. I'm halfway through PoA now. :)
Nope, still just 420, but I've been writing out my timeline like a madman, so technically I already wrote roughly 10k. XD Just in timelines and plottwists and stuff :D
And Harry's a very (DUTCH WORD WHAT?!) childish boy.

I hope by now there's a little more than the 420 words? ;) I can't wait to see what you are doing.
Doing absolutely nothing is wonderful, though I suspect by now you have long gone back to working for uni, right?
I try to base my IC Draco on the books, but it is ever so hard, particularly because we only see him through Harry's eyes.
