Hearing aids

I got my hearing aids yesterday. I got them through the VA. There's no way I could ever afford them otherwise. They seem to be very high tech. The audiologist lady said it'll take about a week or 2 for me to get use to them. My brain has to get use to all these new frequencies that it's never heard before and learn to filter out the noise from the

Wow, cool! It's amazing the things we take for granted--my hearing is better than average. But every time I get new glasses, it's amazing to me how much better I can see.

My dad got hearing aids several year's ago and he said the thing that took the most getting used to, was the sound of other people going to the bathroom.
