First lift was with a guy named Dale. Cool guy. He's actually heading to Thames (see map in previous entry) but I decided to get him to drop me in Taupo because I needed a wee and some food and a smoke and a pint. Did ye not? I thought we'd indulged in some mutual good natured ribbing on that subject ages ago. Perhaps that was someone else...

The journey gets more interesting when I start heading into areas I've never been before, and where there is no cellphone reception.

First sight of Lake Taupo is gorgeous, I like that one best :)
And brown beaches? That's unheard of here unless its a mangrove area in which case it isn't a beach but... mangroves. Underwater trees at high tide!

Stunning photos, even through the windshield. Keep them coming! YAY!

Hey Clairey! I got better ones from the next stage of the journey.

I'm using Simon's laptop, and can see that I overbrightened a lot of those photos. I still have the originals, though, so I can correct it later.
