I've heard Metallica's new album described as only slightly less bad than St. Anger, with only a scant few redeeming songs. That'll take some of the temptation away from that, at least.

The Brahms Requiem is my favorite piece of classical music also. Most people expect me to say something Mozart, since I'm an opera-singer-in-training, but I feel much closer to Brahms than Mozart most of the time.

HOOOODY HOOO, we get to see the Winter Archipelago again! *happy happy dance!* I kind of hope Dominic and Luna get stuck there for winter festivals and celebrations. Or the harvest, perhaps, since October is coming up... whichever season it happens to be in the comic.

I would send you an e-mail, but I do not think you got the last one I sent... and this seemed a lot more direct. *chuckles* I love the comic!

You can see if you can get tickets to an open rehearsal of the BSO instead. I've been to a few, and most of the time you hear the entire piece in its entirety with only a few stops to practice trickier bits. It's also a fraction of the cost of regular performance tickets, with open seating and a lecture on the music a half an hour prior to the rehearsal. Only con is that sometimes you do get a conductor (prima donnas that they are) who will practice something over and over again to the extent that you don't hear everything on the program, but it's still a decent compromise when you consider the other perks. :)

It's been far too long since I've gotten to see the BSO....

Erg.... Looking at it, there doesn't appear to be an open rehearsal for that performance, although it does sound spectacular. :\

Well, they do say the nosebleed seats in the third balcony center have the best acoustics....
