They're partners first, because Jack fills up every indecisive crack in Renee's resolve, and Renee isn't afraid to bark him into submission. Jack takes point, Renee backs him up. Renee takes point, Jack backs her up. It's a trust both hard won and innate.

It's only natural when it becomes more.

God, there are ten million reasons that these two will always break me, but near the top of the list (if not AT the top) is the way everything about them is equal. Aww, I'm glad you liked it! I spent a lot of time pondering over the lyrics and thinking up scenarios, and in the end this is what came of it. Perhaps you will get something ~GRAND later on, because in the scheme of 140CharFic to what fits legally in a comment box, this was the best I had. Hee.

And YES TO THE EQUALITY! God, I wish the writers hadn't forgotten about that when season 8 rolled around, augh. *paints hearts on YOU as well* :D
