There are a number of reasons why my journal is friends-only, so I have to know before I friend you:
How did you find me?
Who are you? (Not your name or anything, just if you're an adult or kid, that sort of thing.)

I sit here alone on another continent, periodically perusing random blogs of interesting, often other lonely human beings for pleasure. Something pulled me towards your name on someone else's list of friends, but your invitation and introduction forced me to request your friendship.

I'm tempted to friend you, there is but one question/doubt:
I'm a teacher here in Knoxville at a chic private school (sounds fancy ey?) and one of the reasons this is friends only is to protect me from students and parents finding my personal thoughts and beliefs.

You're fromthe area, you went to a school we play in many many sports. You may know people/families that attend my school and I don't know that I'm entirely comfortable having someone in that situation privy to all my personal thoughts.

Do you understand? I'm just torn.

Nah... I have no children or any attatchment to Knoxville. I am currently studying in Rennes, France and have no intent to return.
I really was just looking for something decent to read... it's difficult to find good reading material here, especially in english.
