Backwards.

I'm finally making my ham today. I had to walk to the liquor store to buy soda... since I totally spaced last night when at the store. I had thought I had Mike buy ginger ale, but I didn't. I ended up with Sprite instead... hmmmph, not ideal but whatever. The ham is now poked and prodded and covered with pineapple, mustard and spices.

We got home on Monday night, actually early Tuesday morning. We had done a midnight shopping trip to Suzie's in Waipahu and Wal-Mart in Kunia. Ryan and Dee had wanted to go but they crashed out (THANK GOD). The porn is expensive there. I much prefer Diamond Head Video. We didn't buy any porn. Suzie's apparently only carries one line of sex toys now. California Exotics -- it's even embroidered on the employees shirts. They have an 'arcade' at this site. Ugh. Scary. I just remember hearing about the glory hole at the Waikiki store. Ick. And their condom selection blows. Internet condom buying here I come.

The next day Ryan kept asking what we had bought there. I was vague... but not vague enough. I had told them about searching for the condoms (heck, I even looked around at the stores in Waianae). Dee was looking up the condoms online. The online stores often have 100 packs for sale. To which Ryan blathered on about... could you get through 100 in a year. Then exclaimed ... a year! You'd have to be doing it at almost twice a week!... his voice was disbelieving. If it was anyone else... I'd pity them, but since it's Ryan... yeh. I didn't say anything about how much I'd like to buy or how fast we'd possibly get through them. Ryan's into a kick of telling Mike how he's envious of Mike having a woman that still wants to have sex with him. D's side of the story is they haven't go their timing right. Yeah, same old story -- computer, sleep, work. I did mention that my relationship with Mike was a lot better when we didn't have a computer capable of playing games.

On Sunday we had gone out to Makaha Army Recreation to hang out with Ryan and Dee. Dee was already there, Ryan had come back to Kailua to avoid Dee's mother/do some gaming.

The weather was kinda shitty. Not actually raining but not sunny. Dee's mom had brought over tons of food. Ryan and Dee already had food... and Dee had gotten some food poisoning one of the first days she was there. Our job, was to eat as much as possible. Phew, hard work that. Fish, poi, rice, chicken, country style ribs, kal bi, more kal bi, sugar cane shrimp, bakery items, ice cream cups, bacon, li hing mango and strawberries...... We stayed for two evenings - on the last night I had to have salad. It was crazy.

We went swimming one day. It was kind of later in the afternoon and still not sunny, so I barely got any color. I swam until I got prune-y. Mike and Ryan stopped swimming to dig up crabs. Mike made sand breasts... the left one was waaay bigger than the right.

After the beach we went to Tamura's Super to get more charcoal. We had to walk around the entire store to gawk. Stuff is totally cheaper there. Just makes me think I shop at Safeway and Foodland too much. Mike was surprised at the amount of employees. And he remarked on the great lengths the store goes through to prevent theft. Small expensive items are all behind a counter. Including even hair color! You have to walk through only one area to get into the store and go through a line to get out. I wonder if it works to prevent theft.

Mike and I had tried to go to the store the night before... but it was too late. Long's, all the super markets were closed. We didn't feel like paying 8 bucks of a tiny bag of charcoal from 7-11. I spotted a small liquor & grocery store just across the street from where we were parking the car. So we parked and walked to the store. As we walked up to the gate the security guard was chattin' with us for a bit.

He asked us what side of the island we were from. We told him. He was "Ahh, I figured you weren't from around here, or maybe you lived in the area..." He had been surprised that we'd walk around in Waianae late at night. He was like... I don't even walk around here at night! He said either we didn't know any better... or maybe we had a gun under our clothes. Then waved us on into the secure army area. Hahaha... Funny.

While we were there in the 'cabin' we watched the rest of Grey's Anatomy, Disc 3. Fever Pitch. And Mike and Dee got to watch Heroes the tv show. I missed it... because I felt bad for Ryan sitting outside cooking so I hung around outside too. Now, I gotta find out when a replay of Heroes might be showing.

Crap. 3 shows I want to see showing at once. Bleah. I hate that. Bones, Jericho, and Friday Night Lights - pilot episode. I'll probably tape Bones, watch Jericho and flip to Friday Night Lights occasionally. Replay of Heroes Friday.

Saturday night after they had finished gaming Mike picked me up and we went to Zippy's with Ryan, Sean, and we had Wills in tow.

We were sitting down eating when a white guy comes up to Mike. Heyy Mike, right? I got that 'Oh no' feeling... because Mike is awful with names and faces. And I knew Mike had no idea who this guy was. 'Tom - Tommy' ... I could feel Mike drawing a blank. 'Heather's brother'

Ohhhhh. Hehehe...

So Tommy stood around and chatted for awhile. It was pretty funny. Apparently, the chubby lil' kid I had heard about had grown up into a stoner. He said that he and his mom had moved from the building that Mike's family lived in. They're now living in Makiki. Tommy expressed some remorse at leaving since he had to pull up his plants. He just got his GED and said he had dropped out of Olomana. Wills hopped on that and asked if it was hard. Tommy was like, "No, it was easy and I'm stupid." So Tommy asked what school Wills dropped out of... hahaha... Mike and I piped up with 'Maunawili' and 'Elementary school'. We're so dick, I know.

He was a funny lil 'stoner. Mike says he reminds him of Sonny. Or as I know him... "Loser" Sonny.

Tommy of course brought up Heather.

I think the first thing out of his mouth when he mentioned her was that she was married and has a boyfriend. Mike just replied with something like 'Oh, just up to the same old thing.' Heh. He said she's in Italy right now, being with her husband. Tommy said he didn't like the guy at first... but then one night Mikey got him drunk, so he's cool. hehehe... He occasionally commented that his sister was a fuckin' bitch... but he loved her.

He asked about James, sometimes remembering his name... sometimes just referring to him as the uni-brow guy. He said he remembers James picked him up by his head.

Pretty funny.
