New (to me) Bike!

So after gas broke $4 a gallon, I decided it was time to quit thinking about it and active look for a new bike - specifically a Kawasaki Ninja 250.  At 70mpg with the amount of driving I do, it would literally pay for itself and then some with the gas it would be saving.  So I picked one up for the price I was looking for, and so far has been

those are fun little bikes. what were you getting on the Mean Streak? I know my 10R can get 50MPG, 30 if i ride it hard.

The Meanie gets about 37 average, 35 if I ride hard, I've gotten as much as 40 once. Which isn't bad, but it's not 70! And since my car gets 30 average anyway, 7 or 8 mpg is not much motivation to give up a/c and radio when just going to work.
