...both about the basement getting flooded and about everything else that has been going on, as of late. :(.

I do hope that you can get the basement dry again.

Also, I'm glad that the damage was mimimal.

And if you ever need anything, you only have to either e-mail or IM me. Kay?

**Sends you all many, many, many, many, many hugs.**

God bless and take care. :).

First, if you have something as delicate and water-sensitive as those ornaments, a very simple and cheap solution is to store them inside something like Ziploc freezer bags. The cost is trivial, they are strong, and they are water-tight. In extreme cases, you may also want to put some dessicant in the bag.

Second, you can get a water alarm for about $10 at Home Depot (it's SKU 854911 on their web site).

I've been telling mom for years we need to not pack them just in carboard and tissue paper but she doesnt listen, and wont let me mess with them. So not much I can do about that. Maybe now she'll listen? We can only hope.

As for the water alarm. It doesnt flood often. We've had it happen now a total of twice in all the years I've lived here (since I was 5). But I do think it's a good idea. I can't belioeve I hadnet thought to get one before... so thankyou I appreciate the Advice :)

Anyways back off to more fun in the basement.
