Sex alleviates tension. Love causes it.

As usual I come on duty and find the charge desk piled with files and paperwork. Andrej is flippant and waltzes off spouting some crap about it all just coming down at the last minute. I know that is a load of bull. He has probably sat here reading some fashion magazine with his feet up and music blaring in his headphones.

I start off by taking out the files of the regulars and having a quick check of them to see if there is anything new I need to know. I see Kirill has had a privilege added. His door no longer is required to be locked. That's a big one. Not that it ever stops Rupert.

Next I go through the new files. There are only a couple of them. Both have Andrew's code on them. I open the first and start to read then notice that the name mentioned on the paperwork isn't the name on the outside of the file. I open up the other one thinking maybe they got shuffled into the wrong folders, if they did it would be Andrej, but no the other papers are correct.

I give a quick look through the rest of the paperwork on the desk to make sure they aren't there then pick up the phone and inform security that I will ge boing back upstairs for a while so they know to monitor the area. Then I gather up the file and head back upstairs. I can't do my rounds with the incorrect paperwork.

It's not like Andrew to make an error like this. He is usually very meticulous with his work. Any of his charges do something like this and he would have their asses so no way would he make such a mistake himself.

I've kept tabs on office gossip and I have heard the rumours. He's been harsher and more critical and difficult to work with according to some. Maybe it's all starting to catch up with him. I myself have never had a problem with him and considering what I put up with I can see why he is a hard task master, but then I am good at my job as is he.

I head to his office hoping he is still here or at the least that I find the correct paperwork on his desk. The door isn't closed so I give a soft knock then push it open.

He's sitting at his desk with his head back in his chair, eyes closed and his jaw clenched. I can feel the tension in him permeate the room. I'm not sure he even heard my knock. I reach my hand out and knock a bit harder this time and clear my throat. "Andrew..."
