Sleeping with the enemy

I don't like this, but it is my job. Lucifer has crossed a line this time. We know it was his blood used in the attack on Dan and the murder of Lucia. I grab what I need from my desk and slip into the ether finding him in Hell.

Stan feels it when he comes back. I feel it through Stan. His anguish permeates the air. I sigh and look at Stan. "I am guessing the talk did not go well." Stan gives me a harsh look.

I do not like when he gives me that look but I have a job to do even if I don't like it at times. Now more than ever. "You deal with Andrew. I have to check on the others. Come tell me if he says anything I need to know."

He goes to turn away from me and I know he is not happy with my heartless attitude. I don't like him feeling that either.

I reach out and take his arm and pull him back gently. I place my other hand on his cheek and stroke it softly. "I know he is hurting and I hate what I have to do Stan but his life was not put at risk. I have to protect the ones who are."

I know he is right, but my heart hurts for Andrew. How he can love Lucifer, I do not know. But many have said the same about my love for Keanu.

I lean into his touch, "I know my love, Doesn't mean I have to like it though."

I see the corners of his mouth twitch and I know that is a smile - at least here at work. I slip into the ether and out of his touch stepping out in Andrew's office. I rush to him as he is lying on the floor heart broken.

He lets me scoop him into my arms as he cries and tells me Lucifer banished him. It makes no sense, why banish him if it for him he does this?

"He no longer seeks his freedom?"

Andrew leans into me and I hold him as he tries to explain. Through his tears he tells me Lucifer has banished him until such time he gains his freedom! He will NOT give up now. I send Keanu this information, this is bad, very very bad.

What a night to break in the new doctor, Jonas, I was lucky to find him. He's a wolf so the place stinks of dog but I can't be too choosy. I've got Troy monitoring Archangel Michael and Eugen. Eugen has managed to expel the bullet and is healing but still something seems to be wrong. I will have a look at the bullet after I am done here, he seems stable enough otherwise

Devon walks in just as I gather my stuff to assist Liam. "Elijah's transfusion has started, but stay close we may need more blood, not for Elijah but Michael."

As I enter the room Liam is in I smile at Detective Anderson. He looks rather cornered and a bit out of place. "Do not worry Detective, this won't hurt - much."

He says nothing only clenches his teeth and I take a bit too much pleasure in drawing his blood. It is set up and Liam starts the transfusion. I look over at Michael and frown. He has taken the worst of it, his body wracked with Lucifer's blood.

Elijah said he was being tortured with it; I understand his desire to kill that bastard. Shame he didn't get the chance, but he could not in cold blood. I know Eugen wanted to, but his vampire powers are gone, after being shot.

"Detective, the vampire/angel Eugen was shot and his vampire powers ceased. He has expelled the bullet but it is almost shattered. Do you know what sort of bullet could do that to a vampire?"

They meet me downstairs and I've just hung up with Anderson. We use the ether to the Order and place them in one of the few safe room there. It's not much but will have to do till Anderson finds a place and enough wards to keep them safe.

I slip back to the clinic and tell him they are safe - for now. "What now? I've no doubt Dan will anyone, anyone that even hurts Rhys."
